Most major news sources reported a proposal by the current administration to make refinancing possible for homeowners who are underwater or otherwise may not qualify. I believe that most homeowners do want to stay in their homes with affordable mortgages. This may help to reduce the number of short sales in the future which would be good for real estate values across the country.
